Two brothers were having a conversation in a luxurious sedan heading towards the railway station. One was an army officer who was reporting back to his base and the other was a businessman who was driving the sedan to drop his brother at the station.  The Conversation was as follows : Businessman : Army has such huge reserves of money and full backing from the government, still they hire trains to bring their courageous, brave-hearted soldiers back to their camps. They could have easily afforded airplanes to serve the purpose. Also, it would have been much faster for them and comfortable for the officers. Army Officer : HAHAHA... Nice suggestion. I am sure you would have traveled a lot in airplanes for your business trips and find it more comfortable.  I agree with you but in the view of a soldier, the feeling that we get after spending long hours on the train is not comparable to the few hours spent on the flight. Businessman : What feeling ??  Army Officer : Have...

Visible is the New Invisible

Image
Work on the invisible factors to bring improvement in visible factors. What do I mean by that? Does every work in the industry belongs to the front end? No  Does the back end always play a minor role? No Both the back end and front end are equally important for an organization to proceed successfully.  Similarly, the Brain is our back end and Actions and Habits are our front end. Let's take an example- Has it ever happened that you realized you have an unfavourable habit or inappropriate action in particular situations? So, what do we do then? We promise not to make the same mistake again but we fail, that too miserably. The most popular fails could be rectifying our habit of procrastination or overthinking or trying to wake up early by sleeping at midnight or becoming more punctual by leaving home late or maybe not panicking in difficult situations. But do we realize that we committed such mistakes because it was somehow forced upon us by our subconscious m...

Introversial Issues

Image
We all know what is controversial? Something which puts us into trouble (haha). Do you know what is Introversial? Well, it's a new word coined by me (of course). So, when you face a problem which totally belongs to an introvert, I call it an Introversial issue. So, if a girl tells you she has social anxiety tell her it's an Introversial issue. When she asks what does that means explain to her the same. (Give me credit for sure... haha) So, what I am trying to say is to listen and understand the problems of an introvert and give due importance to them. We all definitely have met some introverts in our life, knowingly or unknowingly. When we spend time with them, we realize that they have a lot of potentials but because they don't open up in front of people, they have deficit of opportunities. They don't bring their opinion strongly on the table and we tend to give them labels. I have faced the same issue for a longer period of time. People isolate you and you always find...

The Extremists - A different set of people

Image
Now who do I call extremist? It's those who do everything in extreme. What do I mean by that? For example, when exams are near students tend to complete the whole syllabus in one day. So, it's like putting extreme efforts in 1 single day rather than studying on a consistent basis. So, are they extremists? Nope. I call those extremists who tend to do everything in extreme manner. Again, another example - I generally tend to immerse myself into anything that I’m engaged in. So, if I’m into sports I become very competitive and look for only winning. If I’m into studying I stretch it to longer hours without food and water. Now it's not only in things that I’m engaged into. It's also in human emotions. So, if I’m sad I’m very sad, if I’m happy I’m very happy, and if I’m excited again very excited. So, this is what I call being extreme into things and becoming an extremist. Let's dive into the topic and understand its pros and cons. Becoming an extremist...
